As per the mobile security researcher - Robert Baptiste discovered that few smartphones that use Qualcomm chips come with a hidden backdoor. The smartphones with Qualcomm chips are being shipped with an app called Engineer Mode, which used for testing the device in the factory. The app allows anyone with the physical access to the smartphone can root the device and accessing everything on it.
Initially, OnePlus was accused of shipping devices with hidden backdoor, later also found that Motorola, Xiaomi, Lenovo, and Oppo gadgets appear to be similarly compromised. Better check if your device come with Engineer Mode app or not. Go to Settings -> select Apps -> Menu -> System Apps.
