Finally, the software giant has made its announcement true. Windows 10 'May 2019 Update' now released as a beta tester. The virtually final release of the Windows 10 Build 18362.30 is available for download in the Insider program release preview ring. Interested users can now officially use the Windows 10 "May 2019 Update" - or at least the build that should become.
Among the most important new features that this great functional update will bring to users are the new light theme, the support for Kaomoji, the sandbox function in Windows, the separation of Cortana from research and much more. An update, therefore, that will improve the experience of using the operating system.
Brandon LeBlanc, the Windows Insider team, in the developers' official weblog, announced that the Windows 10 "May 2019 Update" will now be distributed to the testers. And those testers will receive the update who are actively looking for it.
LeBlanc also asked the testers to now take care of choosing the right settings for getting Insider builds, depending on whether they are using the upcoming Windows 10 20H1 builds from the "Fast Ring" or just the "Release Preview" image from the corresponding Release Preview or Slow Ring.
Microsoft also mentioned that anyone who misses the take-off now; and will soon receive a new build from the "Fast Ring" for Windows 10 20H1 can no longer switch back to one of the other insider-rings without reinstalling.
If you want to use the Windows 10 "May 2019" update, but have not installed any of the previews, you can enter the Windows Insider program. It's best to use the insider area in the update and security settings of Windows 10, where you also get the opportunity to connect your user account with the insider program. After that, you have to choose the option "Bug fixes, apps, and drivers only" to join the "Release Preview" ring and get the "May 2019 Update".
After a restart the system, you can then return to the Insider area of the settings to check again that you are in the release preview ring. Then you can simply search for new updates via Windows Update and then get the "finished" Windows 10 May 2019 update.
Over the next few days, Microsoft will release a series of cumulative updates that will progressively resolve all the small problems still present within the operating system.
The software giant will use this month of tests to refine all the details of the update. And Windows 10 will be released publicly to all users towards the end of May. Until the final release, therefore, all the news related to Windows 10 May 2019 Update will come only through the Release Preview Ring.
